on the Casaval Ridge route.
Camping at Thousand Island Lake in August, I climbed the north ridge of Banner Peak on a trip with
Bryan, Hazen, and Esther.
In September, Esther and I climbed her first sport lead,
and her second and third third-class peaks.
In October I headed to the Valley with Bryan
and Dennis. We enjoyed some intimacy
with the South Face of Washington Column ...
over two wonderful days.
In November I travelled to Humboldt County in the far north of California to visit the ancient Redwoods
and fight for their protection from corporate corruption. Jail Hurwitz!
